II.   The Sertoma Foundation
  A. Although the Nashville Sertoma Club has long supported the Sertoma International Foundation, our board elected to establish a Foundation specific to this club’s purposes in 2006.  The intent of this was to ensure that our monies were controlled locally for charitable giving, to house donations designated for our scholarship program, and to include our real estate properties under our Foundation protections.  As major donors and organizers of this Foundation, Bill Boyers and John Patton were elected Honorary Trustees.

Trustees were elected by the Club to oversee the Foundation and operate in its interests.  These trustees presently include Roger Boyers, Ken Webb, Joe Hall, John Maddux, and John Phipps, Jr.

Each year, a portion of the interest earned by the principle of the foundation is transferred to the "projects budget" in the Club for youse in its charitable giving.
